2021 Student Awards

Once again, EducationMatters’ staff and Student Awards Committee spent their free hours this summer reading through more than 1,680 student award applications to shortlist and select this years’ award recipients.

This year EducationMatters donors contributed to more than 260 awards worth a total of over $580,000 to help 220 students begin their post-secondary journey.

As always, it was a difficult job – we have so many exceptional students in our schools and having them share their stories, hopes, dreams, and ideas with us is always a humbling, invigorating, and often emotional experience. Thank you to the more than 600 individuals that took the time to apply this year – we are so impressed by the people you are becoming and excited to see what impact you are going to have on our world.

At EducationMatters we believe that education is the cornerstone of our society.
