Eligibility
Open to students registered in grade 12 who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma. Students must have completed all of their high school education in a Calgary Board of Education school, and parents/guardians must have resided in Calgary during those years. Applicants must have demonstrated academic achievement progress and have a minimum 75% GPA in five courses from level 30 classes which enable admission to any post-secondary institution in the city of Calgary.
The applicant must not hold any other scholarship(s) in excess of $1,700 excluding the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship. Students must notify EducationMatters of other awards won.
The selection will be based on financial need and academics.

Selection & Payment
Recipients are selected by September. To claim the award, within twelve (12) months of high school graduation the recipient must be registered in an eligible degree-granting program of post-secondary study in Calgary of at least one-year duration.
Eligible institutions include, but are not limited to, the University of Calgary, the Alberta College of Art and Design, qualifying baccalaureate programs from Mount Royal University.
