This award was established in 1982 through the Alberta Child Reach Society in memory of Doris Donald. The purpose of the award is to assist students who could not afford class fees and/or materials without financial help.

Eligibility
Open to students registered in grades 10, 11 and 12 who are completing the requirements of a high school diploma. Applicants must have demonstrated artistic ability and a desire to develop these skills and demonstrated financial need.
Applicants must submit an original or copy of a creative work or an original essay of approximately 500 words outlining the area of fine arts they are pursuing.

Selection & Payment
Recipients are selected in August. Payment of award will be made directly to student.
