For 34 years, Sandra taught elementary children at five Calgary Board of Education schools and was a Learning Leader at two of them. She loved teaching and cared deeply for her students. Sandra was particularly focused on teaching methods designed to strengthen her students’ reading ability.
Sandra’s commitment to the education of students continued long after she retired in 2002. She then embarked on a tutoring career that lasted until 2015. Many of her students began working with her when they were in the early primary grades and together continued their educational journey until they were well into high school.
