The Innovation Incubator provides Calgary Board of Education (CBE) teachers with professional development opportunities, specifically created to increase their design thinking capabilities. The Incubator focuses on developing new skills in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), enabling teachers to incorporate innovative ideas and teaching tools into every lesson they plan and execute.

For teachers participating in the 2019-20 cohort, the experience has changed the way they approach their role in the classroom, and opened up a new world of learning for their students. Teacher feedback from the program has been amazing:
