As it is for most people, December is a whirlwind of a month here at EducationMatters as we wrap up the old year and get ready for the new, so it‘s nice to pause for a few moments to reflect on everything we have done together for Calgary Board of Education (CBE) students in 2018.
Thanks to you, our schools have more resources, our educators have broadened their skillsets, and our students have had opportunities to enrich and enhance their education. From filling hungry bellies, to providing mentorship opportunities, to transforming our school libraries to learning commons, your investments have made 2018 a wonderful one for the children at CBE, and will continue to provide returns in the years to come.
Your support has seen, and will continue to see, our students grow from curious kindergarteners, to energetic elementary students, to focused high-school scholars, to empathetic, passionate young adults ready to use their talents and knowledge to make Calgary an even better city. It takes a village to raise a child, and we are so grateful for your commitment to our youth.
On behalf of the EducationMatters Board Governors and our staff, thank you for partnering with us to create opportunities for Calgary’s students.
We hope you have a wonderful festive season and a happy, healthy 2019 where we can continue to work alongside each other on behalf of our next generation of leaders.
