Loonies for Literacy School Resources

Form Letters

Here are several form letters that your school can use as a template to help raise funds for your literacy needs – have students personalize them with your fundraising target and how they’re going to use the new resources to really have an impact on community support! Letters can be printed or emailed and can be sent to friends, family, local businesses, and other community supporters.

Fundraising Assistance

Look at the links below for instructions on creating your fundraising page and the text to donate shortcode list so you can share your code with your community. Text to donate is simple – supporters simply text EDMATTERS plus your school’s keyword (either with or without a space) to 30333 to donate $5 to your Loonies campaign. The donation will appear on your next cellphone bill. Thank you to sponsor Mobility Quotient for covering the additional fees for this service so 100% of your donation goes to EducationMatters.

Downloadable Posters

Once you register be sure to make a few copies of our customizable printables! One is in full colour and fits legal sized paper, and the other is in black and white for standard paper.
The PDFs are editable on Adobe, or you can print them out and fill them in with a Sharpie or marker. Be sure to include your Text to Donate Keyword and your school name. Put the posters up inside your school at high traffic areas for visitors and staff, and around your neighbourhood on community bulletin boards (community halls, rec centres, gyms, grocery stores, etc). If you’d like a custom printout with your school logo and personalized info related to your school’s literacy needs please contact Communications.
