F.E. Osborne School is working to raise funds to improve the quality of music education in our growing music program! We need to ensure that our students have all the instruments and materials they need to excel.

Music education brings students together as they work as a team to create and perform in a broad range of music genres. Music allows students from different backgrounds to come together and work towards a common goal. This is so unique to music! The music room is always a supportive and welcoming environment for all students. Music is a powerful tool to bring people together and a strong band/music program in a school can have huge positive impacts on the rest of the school community. Students learn so much more than how to play their instrument. They learn to express emotions, think critically, persevere, cooperate, and support each other through music.

Funds raised from donations will help to:

– Fund new musical instruments to replace a rapidly aging instrument inventory
– Assist with the repair and maintenance of musical instruments
– Grow the school’s instrument inventory as the music program grows to maintain enough instruments for all students who want to take part in the program

Our biggest needs right now are being able to save/raise enough money to purchase the following instruments and repair others:

– baritone saxophone
– tenor saxophone
– alto saxophone
– bassoon
– oboe
– euphonium
– French Horn
– replace/repair timpani drums
– snare drum stand
– orchestra bell stand
