The holiday spirit was alive and well for more than 300 CBE students this December thanks to School Pantry Grants made possible by the Giordano Family’s Team Gio Initiative.

Team Gio works throughout the year to help support students in need and includes Mark & Lauren Giordano, The Italian Centre Shop, the Flames Foundation, and the Calgary Italian Open among its many supporters. In 2020 alone, more than $40,000 has been invested in ensuring that students have the nutrition, equipment, and apparel to keep learning and growing throughout the Covid-19 pandemic

2020 has been difficult for many families, and community investment has been essential in helping our friends, neighbours, and family members navigate the many ups and downs that the year has brought. It’s amazing what we can all do when we work together to help each other, and we are so grateful for the Giordano Family’s leadership in investing in our future.
