EducationMatters board, staff, and volunteers acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional Treaty 7 territory of the Blackfoot Nations, which include the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai. We also acknowledge the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda First Nations (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations).The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta - Districts 5 and 6. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have cared for these lands for generations.
